Now art works of Konstantin Goretsky are presented by Agora
Gallery, USA, New York. Agora Gallery is located at 415 West Broadway, New York, NY in the heart of the established SoHo art district and at 530 West 25th Street in the hub of the art district in Chelsea, New York City. From the letter (May 01, 2004) of the Angela Di Bello, Gallery Director, Editor-in-Chief ArtisSpectrum Magazine: I am pleased to inform you that Konstantin's work qualifies for Agora Gallery representation. The paintings are skillfully executed in style and perspective with a focus on abstract expressionism and linear compositional elements to express rigor and synergy. I feel that the the paintings are marketable and in keeping with the style and quality of work that we like to exhibit at Agora Gallery. |
Press
release placed on the Art-Mine.com: Painter, photographer and graphic artist Konstantin Goretsky's oil on canvas works are large-scale landscapes and dreamscapes that seem choreographed rather than painted: in dynamic collages of space, gestural forms dance across bold color planes to form imaginative, animate abstractions of landscape. In images with a powerful emphasis on the seasons - the sparkling white frosts of winter, or the scarlet glow of summer - Goretsky plays with two-dimensional and negative space, layering silhouetted forms and graphic color. Goretsky's style is unique in its rugged painterly texture, vital abundance of red, and stylized representations of nature - at once playful and dramatic, Goretsky's saw-blade mountain ranges, arching skies, and cut-out shapes of animals appear more allegorical than life-like. Goretsky was born in Belarus, Russia. For almost two decades he has been active in exhibitions and performances in Russia and abroad. In 1987, he created the group "KOMI-KON," a group of painters who have worked in collaboration on several projects over the past 15 years. |
